Articles Website Design Process 1. 15 minute meeting with Project & Marketing Manager to go through client brief, WSG, competitors, collated content, etc.2. Go through the supplied material and put yourself in the shoes of the client’s perfect prospects:What do they want to see, view?what information do they need to make them trust the clientChoose 3 aspects of the client’s business to focus your design’s on. These need to be global aspects that go throughout the website. They are an overall idea that every element conforms to. Ie: Aspects for a design concept could be 'Clean and concise', 'Easily accessable information', 'Quality', etc.3. 15 minute meeting with with the Creative Director to go over these chosen aspects. If need be, go away and tweak these and get them checked by Creative Director before moving forward.4. Design 3 concepts. Use the 3 aspects to focus on with each of your designs.Each design has 2 hours allocated to each, so time yourself and record the time spent. This will help with improving speed of designs.When you have finished the three designs, look at each element in each design and think of the reason behind that element. If you can’t think of a reason, why is it there? This will help when you have to explain the design to the SP team and the client.Add designs into SP previs presentation InDesign file and export as PDF file.Email finished designs to Project & Marketing Manager5. Show designs to SP team in next production meeting for review. If all happy then Project & Marketing Manager will send design concepts to the client.6. Designer rings up client to take them through the 3 concepts and reasoning behind the designs. Explain exactly why elements exist.
