To give back to the community Spinning Planet staff are asked to choose a "good cause" that we can help each year by providing services or our time.  Below are our sponsored projects to date:

www.reelearth.org.nz - Spinning Planet is a proud sponsor of Reel Earth.  The worlds largest Environmental Film Festival.

www.spcapalmerstonnorth.org.nz - When we heard that the Palmerston North City Council was going to stop funding the local SPCA our staff volunteered their own personal time to setup a website and credit card donation system for SPCA. Spinning Planet joined the team by donating the domain name and free web hosting.

www.kiwiveterans.co.nz - Patrick Bronte is a local video historian. When we heard of his project designed to preserve the histories of New Zealand's Returned Servicemen and Woman we wanted to help. To date, over 200 interviews have been compiled in the Nga Toa video archive.

www.grans.co.nz - Our CEO is a board member of Grans who provide information for grandparents raising children. Grandparents, Rights, Advocacy, Needs, Support (Grans)

www.manawatudirectory.co.nz - An important way to drive more internet visitors to your website is to have links from other websites to you. Manawatudirectory.co.nz is a "Yellow Pages" type service that drives hundreds of visitors to local business websites.

www.plug.org.nz - The Palmy Linux Users Group run monthly workshops showcasing and exploring free and open source software. These workshops involve a beginer, advanced and helpdesk sessions. The PLUG users community are keen to supply and help others who want to have freedom of choice for all their software. Brynn and Robin are part of the executive of PLUG and we also host the PLUG website.
